In August this year, the Med Safety app was updated to a Progressive Web App (PWA), providing a seamless experience across devices, improved offline functionality, and automatic updates to ensure access to the latest features and safety information.
This enables a common user experience between the app and the newly introduced companion Med Safety website which provides an additional method to report suspected adverse reactions to National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs). Med Safety websites have been set up for NRAs. Users can access the Med Safety website by scrolling down on the app homepage and selecting the ‘Find out more’ button.
Who is affected?
All users can benefit from the new look Med Safety app platform.
We encourage all users to update their Med Safety app via the Apple Store or Google Play store as the previous version of the app will not be maintained. Users who do not update the app will still be able to sign in to their existing account but will not have the additional benefits of the PWA.
